Default Door panel velcro pieces

The reproduction ones I've tested are made from a plastic that is too flexible. It takes a very small amount of force to separate them so they don't hold the door panel to the inside of the door.

Does anyone have a source for reproduction ones that hold tightly together are like the originals? Or any clever solution to hold the door panels tight to the door on the lower edge?

Hello SR,
Are you using the original or reproduction inside door card?
The reproduction cards are often 'warped' so they're difficult to mount securely.
Could that be part of your problem?
Regards....

Great responses, thank you.
I've also seen repro door panels that were warped. My current ones are OK.
The issue is that the repro velcro pieces are very weak and unlikely to hold even a perfect door panel. And yes the original velcro pieces were not perfect. Often, the little stalks have to be straightened out or they won't mesh and hold at all.
sphil: thanks for the post reference I'll try those.

I'm curious: what means of fastening worked well? Tip: if you want less holding power, place strips of electrical tape over the magnet.
