On a 72 C3 what is the color name/code for the charcoal gray color used on the area behind side panel in the foot wells? I’m in the process of cleaning up the area where the body mount bolts are located.

I'm trying to envision the area you're asking about - I'm thinking it's the lower "birdcage" with the A-pillar. If that's the case, the only factory paint there is a primer with maybe some body color over spray. The color of the primer was either green zinc or black; my '72 has the black. There was a thread on the NCRS forum maybe 5 years ago where the pattern of why some were green and some were black was explored, but nothing became obvious when trying to narrow it down.

Other than the primer, I can't recall any other paint. The fiberglass is unpainted charcoal-color.

You have zeroed in on the correct area. I think what I’m trying to color match is the gray fiberglass color.
