I'm not familiar with "head and headers", but there IS a gasket between the exhaust headers and... the engine block? Maybe THAT is the head? I apologizing for being so ignorant and inexperienced. I'm learning.
the gasket seems pretty wavy, which I would not expect, but this is the only 1970's car I've owned, so maybe that's normal. I can try to grab a pic of it this weekend.
