Default Electrical….uh…problems.

They always take forever to find and about .03 nano seconds to fix. Case in point;

Sometime in late November, I developed a short in my dome light circuit. I mean a fuse popping as soon as it’s put in type of short. I have been jacking with this since then – followed wires all over the old summabitch, until now.

While tracing wires unsuccessfully yesterday and reminding my wife that just cause I was cussin and throwin stuff didn’t mean I wasn’t having fun, I discovered that some dumb *** had dropped a screw into the lighter socket causing the short…I would kick his *** except I’m older now and I’m not sure I can still kick myself that high up…

btw, the lighter socket is on the same circut @ domes on an '80...

Don't feel bad I did the same thing, except mine was a dime instead of a screw. It's amazing how perfectly and camoflauged that dime fit in there, almost impossible to see.

Now that is funny, I don't care who you are. I laughed out loud and the wife wanted to know what it was. So I showed it to her and she got a chuckle out of it too.

Lonnie, don't throw that screw away. It's the very rare OEM short inducer screw and it's not manufactured anymore. You can probably put it on E-Bay and get thousands for it. Hell, just take it to Barret Jackson and you'll probably get enough to buy a new C6.
