Does anyone use the NGK Iridum sparkplugs on their BB? Any comments on their behavior?
I'm running them on my 454. Don't know if they run any better than the regular copper plugs, but they seem to do fine. Supposed to last 120k miles but I don't really believe any spark plug can last that long.

i had the same issue with the log life platinum plugs used in my Toyota. Supposed to last 60 k miles at $10 per plug. I bought one set and changed them out at 30 k with cheep, Bosch plugs and noticed a significant improvement. Seems to me that changing them more often probably brings more benefits than the type of plug.
That's the problem with Platinum plugs. The only thing platinum about them is a little disk. These disks can fall or burn off and then you have a regular plug. The missing disk now results in a much larger plug gap which is why you will see a performance difference with a fresh set of plugs. The Iridium is a total different design in that there is no disk to fall off and a much better concentrated spark. We use the iridium plugs in a lot of supercharged application which will show actual horsepower increases with just a plug swap.
