Any job that requires crawling under the dash sucks.. but it wasn't too bad... The most difficult part was to get the inside nut on which bolts it against the firewall... Other than that - it's a pretty simple job...
Looks good, gotta get one of those. Thanks for posting. It may be the picture angle, but it appears that you only have one spring installed. It should be a double spring, they are wound differently...a safety device.

I have the second spring.. The gas pedal resistence is too high with the second spring...
Carefully streatch them a little to loosen the resistence or change the mount location. You need both, PLEASE put the second spring on.
Here we go again! Olivier, that's a safety item. I KNOW you are safety minded. You don't want to be sitting in that seat if the trottle sticks open because the one spring broke. I've seen it written up in some tech requirements. You might not pass of they look for it.
I re-routed my springs. Bought a Mr. Gasket throttle spring stand-off that attaches to an intake manifold bolt. Just enough pressure to keep my lead foot off the floor on the highway.
Oliver whats the deal with the TV cable, does it need to be pulled out like this for the transbrake? If so your going to be running full line pressure all the time. Wouldn't be too good to run on the street unless you plan on freshening it up every few months.

I'm running a hydraulic and not electric transbrake... It works completely different than a regular transbrake.. Regular transbrakes usually require a fully manual valvebody.. Mine is a automatic valvebody which is great for bracket racing... I want this car to be dead consistent...

Ok I just reread your post, no I don't understand this, How do you engage and release the transbrake if it doesn't have an elec solenoid to hold the line pressure

nope - it doesn't have a solenoid...
The transbrake basically takes the spot of gear number one. Well - the gear is still there but when you put the shifter in "1" you are actually on the transbrake.. You can shift into 2 which will activate the transbrake which will launch in first gear and the 1-2 shift will be automatic and the 2 - 3 shift manual... The transmission and converter are dialed in to my cam and should be shifting at the correct RPM. At least I hope so.. If it won't work as planned, I'll go with the manual valvebody.

That's pretty neat who makes those? If your not shifting at the right time you can play around with the springs on the govenor to raise or lower the shift points.
But why is the TV cable pulled so far out? Does it have to be this way to keep enough line pressure for the transbrake?
