Just give it up...the split won't happen...they're not even working on it, it could have split in 10 minutes by clicking the appropriate combination of buttons in the admin panel.... we're just being led by the nose...that's it

These are probably the two posts that best describe the situation.
Still, I'm suprised that the mods/admins have completely distanced from this. I guess they're ignoring it in hopes of it just going away.
