Default Water Pump recomendations

I need to replace the pump on my moderatly enhanced 355. The cooling system is new without any cooling issues but the pump is starting to leak(OEM style only 2 years old). This time I would like to go with a better quality. Those aluminum polished ones sure look nice. Any recomnendations would be appreciated. I see lots on ebay but not sure of the quality or if I need a long or short shaft.

I went with an Edelbrock and have no complaints.

If you are still using your stock pulleys, brackets you need a short pump. I'm using a edelbrock, works just fine. You also need to replace it with one specifically for corvettes.

I wasted my money on one of those "Flow Kooler" pumps years ago.I think thats what they are called, with a disk on the impeller to enhance flow and reduce temps but it didnt change or improve a thing. Sounds like edlebrock is the way to go.

Last week someone showed a GM Performance Parts aluminum water pump for a Corvette (a short pump.) It was only $99. Seemed like a good buy.
