I am having trouble IDing this Rochester Carb.. Anyone with expertise in running #'s on carbs I would greatly appreciate your help..The #'s are: 7029207 (which the corvette black book says is a 69' 350/350 mt) the 4 digit date code is 2637.. What does this translate too? Ihave a guy who wants to buy this carb but we need to verify what it go's on..
Thanks in advance..

Cary -
The carb is a 1969 350 325-horse Vette with manual trans. The date code is a Julian date code, so 2637 translates to the 263rd day of a year that ends in a "7." Since this makes no sense, the date code is probably a mis-stamp. I have seen the photos of your carb, and it is a '69 carb - no question about it.
Thanks Lars.. I really appreciate the help..and so will Nick in Atlanta..If anyone wants to confirm or dis agree with Lars you may state your case now..please..
Grats,
Cary
Is the 4 digit date code stamped right next to the carb# ? I have a 1968 carb (not a corvette#) that has the number and broadcast code stamped on the side vertically (pass side I think), but the 4 digit date code is stamped on the base. Bases can be easily switched.
PRDN,
The date code is stamped just under the 7029207 both are vertical on the body under the driver's side secondary butterfly..
Make any sense?
Thanks,
Cary
