I am planning to pull my engine (eventual rebuild), but won't be working on it for probably 6 mos.... Is there anything I need to do, other that cover it up, to 'winterize' or store it. Drain the oil, blow out all of the water passages, etc.???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you're going to be rebuilding it anyway, there is really nothing you need to do other than to not store it outside and let it fill up with rainwater... Put it on an engine stand and bag it with a garbage bag to keep the mice turds out of it. Nothing more you need to do prior to tearing it down. We leave our racecar engines sitting on engine stands all winter long with nothing more than a rag over the carb flange. Drop 'em in the car next spring and fire 'em up - no problem.
