A good book

I have the following:
How to Restore and Modify Your Corvette 1968-1982 by Richard Newton
--Good book if interested in making your Corvette fit your personality, i.e. driver vs racer. This book will become dated, because it points out many after market companies for upgrades, still it gives a start point and concept for overhaul.
Chevrolet Corvette Restoration Guide by Lindsay Porter
--Tons of pictures and sequential step-by-step. I thought it was very thourough. It will give you a scope perspective for the work you need to do. Not much on electrical systems though.
Chevrolet Corvette 1968 Thru 1982: All V8 Models (Haynes Automotive Repair Manual Series) by J. Haynes
--If you've seen one Haynes book you've seen them all, pretty thourough on the mechanical stuff, but not thourough on the Corvette intricacies.
Corvette Performance Projects 1968-1982 by Tom Benford
--31 repair/upgrade projects, good for a shadetree mechanic, but not at all enough material for a resto project.
Mid-America's Assembly Instruction Manual
--pure assembly diagrams, no narrative on trouble spots to restoration tips. Good to have as a reference to fill in the gaps the books leave.
I'd be remiss not to say that the forum is my best source of info. Ask even the simplest question: don't be intimidated to ask, most forum members don't want to show off their Vette knowledge, they just want to help others.
Thanks for helping,
Jeff
