New or Late Model?
While looking for parts I see them asking if the car is an early 79 or late 79. How do you know?

i think it's speedo and rear storage doors are one way to tell,3 door and 140mph speedo early,2 door 85mph late but i may be wrong.

Mine is a three door and 140 speedo and my window sticker confirms it is an early vette; Feb. to be exact.

Mine's early. 3 compartment, 140 mph speedo. Check the sticker on the door (if you have one). Mine says 10/78
