qjet primary rods.
I need to change to smaller rods in my 1979 qjet.
Anyone know where I can buy some?
carbs unlimited dont appear to have the size i need and it look like they sell the older style primary rods.
The qjet is running good, but I need to richen up the mixture a bit.

All primary rods for the 1979 Q-Jet have been discontinued except size #42.
The only rods now available for the 1975 - 1980 Q-Jets are the truck rods sold by Edelbrock. These rods have .036" diameter power tips, and they will completely screw up your WOT mixture if you use them in place of a set of stock rods (which have .026" power tips).
Your only way to change mixture on your carb is to change the jets.
If you need to change cruise mixture, adjust your power piston height using the stop screw.

You better check the length and make sure you know which ones you got... the 1967-1974 rods (still available) are not the same length as the 1975-1980 rods (not available)...
