Default Radiator installation procedure

There was some confusion recently about how to install the radiator. I managed to install a new stock type radiator in my 77 today. (I had removed the old one with the shroud and rad support all at the same time after removing all bolts and hoses, and the hood).
Here is how I did it:
1. Drop the support in place and lean the top toward front of car.
2. Set the fan shroud in place with the top leaning back toward the engine.
3. Lower the radiator in.
4. Install the 6 bolts to the support thru the front wheel housings.
5. Install the top brackets holding the rad to the support.
6. Don't forget the little ground wire that bolts to the front left side of the support at bottom.
I'm not done yet because I'm installing a trans cooler. This is a one man job, except for removing the hood. Hope somebody can use this info.

BKbroiler,

Hmmm. I just did this job on my '76 and didn't know about that ground strap since the lower part of my support had been cut off before I got the car. What two points does the ground strap connect to? I need to rig up a substitute for my car!

Thanks

Gator - The ground wire comes out of a bunch of wires taped together originally from the factory running up toward the headlight assemblies at the front driver side. The wire bolts into a small threaded hole at the very bottom of the rad support on the drivers side. This is looking from the front of the car, with the hood off.

BK,
That is a sharp looking car. What color red is that?

Brooksman - Thanks. The color is original Corvette dark red. The actual paint is Dupont version of that, base coat, clear coat.
