I started out with convertibles. Had 2 63's, a 67 and then a 68 coupe. Now back to only verts. I was brought up to think of a sports car as a convertible. I drove the 67 for 5 years in Wisconsin winters w the hard top. The heater really blasted you out of a small cockpit! Now only nice days, and even if it is cool out....the heater going full blast with the top down still keeps you plenty warm!!

Reason: wrong year
I got hooked on the convertible when I ran my repair shop out of my garage about 15 years ago. My buddy had a '66 vert and I stored it as well as drove it for a number of years as he didn't have the time to drive it!!!!!!!!! I had a T-top in the early 80's ('76, black with black interior) that was a beautiful car but when I finally bought mine me (and my wife) had to have a vert. Her stipulations on buying a vette were: (1) convertible, (2) 4 - speed, (3) anything that I wanted after that!!!!!!!! I am the proud owner of an original '73 vert, Elkhart green, L-48, 4-speed, A/C, AM/FM radio car that is in excellent condition and am having a blast with the car. I have done some rad work over the winter, replaced some of the old seals, etc., but I will be taking the car to the Woodward Dream Cruise this summer (4 hours from home) and don't anticipate aany problems. For me a vert is the only way to go!!Sexy and fun!!!!
