If it's a threaded opening. It's probly for a ported/thermo vacuum switch. Emission junk. Or does it go through to the coolant passage under the thermostat opening? Could be for a coolant bypass hose. Can you post a pic of it?

I can't post a pic right now...It is a threaded port and I do belive that it connects to the water passage. The heater hose is on the passenger side of the manifold, so it is not that. If it is a water port, what would it be for? If I don't need it, what should I use to plug it?
