I ordered a new dist and the end play was about .035" which I believe is too much so I asked them to send me a new one, new came with same end play. This is an alum housing computer controlled dist, so how much end play should it have? I keep seeing .012-.015" as a rule of them for alum dist.

Optimum is .004" - .007". Get Moroso shim kit part number 26140 and shim it yourself - very few distributors will be in tight spec on the endplay. The MSD distributors are the only ones I've seen with tight end play.

Endplay is just the opposite of foreplay.
Endplay is either when u wake up and see what ur sleeping with and need to leave without waking her up. Or unless she's in ur bed then u want to get her out of the house before anyone u know recognizes u together.
Now if ur home alone it could have an entirely different meaning but never mind going there.
But for the distributor i never have seen a spec so i just shimmed it to remove any end-play but still turn smoothly without drag. This has worked fine for me.
Incase u mean or would like to know side to side spec - less than 0.010" where 0.001" the best (and 0.010" worst) between reluctor and pickup - this is with dist out of car of course. cardo0
Guess .035 is fine with whom ever makes them for summit cuz they sent me another one with the same play. I am going to pull the shim from one and put it in the other and see where I am, will send one back missing a peice.
