I seen them somewhere before. Here is a link to GM showing them http://www.gmpartsdepot.com/store/pr...ategory_ID=57& . It looks like a bare head.
Was there any info on flow data in the CHP article?

i want to order a set of vortec but I dont know what spec are good. I have a stock motor with side pipes and elderbrook rpm manifold with a 650cfm carb.

Unless you are willing to change the Edelbrock intake, the Vortec's are not going to work. The Vortec's have a higher intake runner and a different bolt pattern. You could buy a new intake and sell the old one, or you could go with the Summit heads which have a similiar combustion chamber but not the raised intake port.
