the window crank comes of with a clip removal tool that you can get at carquest, just ask the guy behind the counter, you push the tool behind the crank(you have to see which way the ''u'' is facing)and it comes right off,,(look at some clips while your at carquest so you know what your lookin for and how to align the tool to pop them off)-then the lock **** comes off the same way,,,,then there's 2 screws that have to come off the door pull handle,,, them there's a few screws in thw sides of the door panel and thats ..it lifts up ,,to get the panel outwhile you manulipate the door opening latch handle,,take me less than 5 minn to get one off,,,this is how my 73 comes off,,,never had a 80,,,gotta be close

Your 73 seems a bit different than my 80. On mine there are no clips holding the door panel to the door, just 3 screws on the front of the door panel. Before removing the armrest unscrew the silver door lock piece, then remove the 3 screws on the armrest and pull the armrest out. Then 1 screw on the plastic door handle piece. Then 2 screws for the mirror adjustment piece. Pull out the piece and then use a small allen wrench and un-loosened the little screw on the piece. Now that all of the pieces attached to your door panel have been taken off remove the 3 screws on the door panel. Now all you have to do is pull the door panel straight up, and your finished. Yours may differ depending on the options your car came with such as power door locks.
