Distributor alignment help
I pulled the distributor from my 69 BB tonight, marked the rotor position, even took a dig pic. Went to replace it and now it won't go back in were it was. Did not turn the engine over or move it at all. It seems to want to go back in about 45 deg turned. What the heck did I do?

Place the distributor where you marked, measured, and swore it should go. Then, you can either reach in and align the oil pump shaft or, use the old school method and put a brick on top of the distributor and then jog the starter--it'll drop right into place. It worked for me.
