I am unsure as to why that would of changed, but it did. I also removed the squirters and found a small piece of red gasket in the secondary squirter. I cleaned both of them out and after I readjusted the accelerator pumps it is not doing it anymore.
Thanks!
Have you ever had the pump apart on any Holley or Demon before? They have a tiny "Red Rubber" flapper valve. They need to periodically be replaced. It might even be where your little chunk came from.
The Demon Carbs are great. But like someone else said, mine was faulty right out of the box. It was shooting fuel out of the top of the carb and the floats would never adjust correctly. Come to find out (after taking the carb apart), that there is a C-clip inside, and someone had dropped the first one inside and just put another one on without bothering to get the one they dropped out. Like I said, just poor assembly. I made a complaint and they acted pretty sorry about it, and told me to let them know if I had any other problems down the road and they would send me another. Now I love the thing.
George: Yes, I know what your talking about but hadn't thought of that. I am ordering a track pack this week that includes new accelerator pump hardware among other things and I will replace them.
