Default Demon vs. Holley

Replacement parts that is. Will Holley parts fit my new Speed Demon? I need to rejet, but don't know for sure if my Hollley parts are interchangeable. Not to mention, parts for Holley's are easier to come by in my locality. Thanks in advance.

i'm pretty sure the owners manual lists the parts that will interchange.

It all interchanges: Jets, power valves, gaskets, accel pumps, shooters. Mix and match.

Lars...

I believe that the jets will interchange as you say, but they are not rated the same...at least that is what I was told. I was told that you will have tuning problems if you go with Holley jet numbers compared to Demon jet numbers. Something about them flowing different? You could probably call Demon and get a comparison from them as to which numbers compare?

Just a heads up.

Good luck,
Jeff

What is the background info about Speed Demon. Is this a seperate company? Are they affiliated with Holley? If Speed Demon is a seperate independant company, what is there something about them that is special, what should I know about them????Thanks

Barry Grant is the company that makes the carbs.

They have the ROAD DEMON, SPEED DEMON, MIGHTY DEMON, & RACE DEMON ( I believe that is the extent of current line-up, but could be wrong).

Road Demon is for basic stock/very mild applications.
Speed Demon is for modified applications, comes in both vacuum & mechanical secondaries.
Mighty Demon is for hi-po applications with duration of at least 240 degrees at 0.050", with hi compression. Last I heard they added a model with vacuum secondaries to compliment the mechanical secondaries.
Race Demon is for...as the name implies...race applications.

Call or check BG's web site for which carb will work best on your application. Too many people guess which will work best, and then complain when they can't just bolt it on and have it work perfect. IMHO.

Good luck,

Which Demon are you trying to tune. Lars has it down. I've got mine two pretty good. I changed back to my 750 SD because it's more dialed in with holes drilled in all four throttle plates

It looks like my 825 Race Demon has the holes in the throttle plates from the factory

King Demon is the one you forget, it is the equivalent of the Holley Dominator

Thanks...that's why I usually put in a disclaimer such as "I believe".

I know I'll never be able to afford an engine that needs one of those, so I guess I blocked it out of my mind.
