Need help with 2 electrical problems
1980 vette - 305 cal. engine
Problem #1: Choke light & alt. light stay on for several minutes after car is started. You can unhook the wire going to choke & both lights go out and stay out when wire is replaced. But when you start the engine again same thing happens again -- choke & alt light come on. This started happening after we replaced the timing chain -- but I can't think of why that would effect this problem. Any suggestions??
Problem #2: After replacing the printed circuit behind the center cluster, the seat belt buzzer come on & stays on until you hook the seat belt. Before it would stop when the seat belt light went out. Also, when you turn off the engine, buzzer sounds for a long time. Doesn't matter if I take the key out, open & close the door, etc.
I'm thinking about just taking the buzzer out, but is there something else going on -- a short, or ground or something of that nature that should be addressed?
