I like the price of the K&N filter in the ad. Wish they were that inexpensive now...
Heh....back then they just advertised increased airfow. Now they advertise increase horsepower. Interesting.
I'm pretty surprised the car only lost one rear end with an L-88!!
Ahhhh....but look at the tires!!!! Those are not wrinkle wall slicks. There's tread on those tires!!
Warning Will Robinson, this thread may be closed down by animal activists. I just couldn't imagine getting pulled over by Deputy Dep and trying to 'splain to him the the turtle made me do it, or going to the strip and telling the Dodge boys that "ya I'm running a turtle". For those of you using this I am not slammin it in anyway but couldn't their mktg used a better name - where's Dana Carvey when you need him as the Master of Disguise - he's hiding in my intake -turtle turtle. Damn gkull even had turtle turds in his carb - talk about feeding the monster. ahhhh just ignore me, the rest of the world does and now I'm going back to my happy place where turtles roam free outside of intakes and tornadoes cause kaos all over. Sorry but can you imagine adding both a tornado and turtle to some of the engines that have no power that posts here - what a solution and for only 3 easy payments of $19.95 and if you are among the first 10,000 callers we'll even throw in some cam 'n go yes folks that's cam 'n go our newest product that sends out a signal to all dyno's that says yes you picked the right combo, and your hp/tq figures are truly amazing just write down the #'s you want and ca 'n go will print them out.
Newsflash the mktg dept for cam 'n go have just changed the name to Camelot for western mkts and Camel for the middle east where for an additional pitance you can have a 2 hump camel to go with your turtle and tornado.
The guy who did the "turtle" series for Brodix was a VERY GOOD cylinder head/intake manifold designer. Gene Dittmer did quite a few Winston Cup R&D programs in his time and YES they will help a #2975 Victor Jr make better power (Dittmer helped Pontiac build their famous "847" NASCAR head that was so good, it was outlawed!) The cost of a "turtle" was rather expensive but, they were 90% of the performance of a "full boat" modified intake and YES! you do need to properly "prep" the intake floor before installing this part or it WILL! delaminate during useage. The HVH intakes are also very good pieces and so are the Torque Link intakes made in Utah.
