Default Electrical Help Please

I need help I just got finished rewiring my wiring harness from the firewall foward. Every thing is correct but I have to run a jumper wire from the bat post on the alternator to the positive on the pigtail that connects to the alternator. This is the reason I rewired the harness because bubba got his hands on the wires and ran the jumper the same way I now have to to get the car to start or even turn lights on in the dash. If anyone knows what might be the problem let me know. Thanks in advance.

i'm not following you.....are your fusible links off of the starter ok?

i'm not sure what you are accomplishing by running that Jumper, what do you think that jumper is accomplishing?

i think that jumper is bring 12v+ to the switched side of your igintton switch....this leads me to beleive that you are not getting 12v+ to your iginiton switch....i would be looking at those fusible links on your starter i bet they are toast...

so with that jumper in place you can start the car? and when its disconnected you have no power to the ignition switch?
