wiper door install
Need some help on wiper door install....... wire, vacuum lines, vac can placement, switches, any one know of a link out in cyber or some pics might work
I am taking off a 73 style L-88 to put back original 68 wiper door and big block hood any help would be great
Thanks in advance, Michael
I don't know of any links but I could put some picts of mine.
All you can see or what in particular?
The vac can is mounted to a C shaped hingey thing.
Theres a door switch.
The vac controller.
Mine works so never got into the guts of it.
You might try a catalog since they usually do blow apart drawings to show you how to spend money

Thanks, I need everything! I have about 4 differant books and a couple suppliers books but they dont have enough detail. now I know why the previous owner put the hood on!!!!!! I need vac hose routing, and is their an electrical switch on the wiper?
If you send pics please send them to kettererhouse@charter.net
Thanks for your reply!
The ONE part I am aware of that is not available except at super high cost is the electric/vacuum solenoid under/in back of the tach it is the interface between the electric switch and the vacuum switching source to supply the vacuum relay under the fender...
IF that electric/vac solenoid is not under there you better off to just do an electric solenoid/linear motor to actuate the door...much simpler....

Thanks any sights on this? or is any old forum archives around?
I know about the switch back behind the tach Corvette Cental has it for (80.00 about) but would like to keep my options open
You've got mail.
The stuff under the hood is pretty simple. If the E-mail don't work I'll send the pictures individually. Kind of large.
I don't know the hosing stuff but that might come with a hose kit or should be in one of the trouble shooting threads.
If the door switch can't be bought you can rig something up. Its just a safety to tell the motor when the door is fully open.
