Lube?

Can you open it by hand?
Do those use vacuum? Could be a leak...

I don't have wiper doors but thought I would take a stab at it.

Check all vacuum lines starting with the vacuum motor on the door.
The lines are probably old and they lose thier grip. One might look like its on but isn't.
I went through this one morning and found out later just a hose was slipped off.

Then do the trouble shooting of all the gizmotron controlling stuff.

Oh and if you don't know there is a manual over ride under the dash. If this don't open it then do the checks.

Start with the override. If that works, then it is most likely a faulty wiper door solenoid (behind the tach in the dash), or a bad wiper switch.

Do the wipers work if the door is opened via the override switch?

Good luck

Ive got exactly the same problem.

I think I have a vacuum leak. Its well worth investing in one of those vacuum gauge tools and trying to find the source of the leak. I heard its good to start at the intake and work your way out?
My mechanic told me to get one of the vacuum gauges with the pump...he showed me how to use it...
so Im going to give it a go..once I buy this tool.
