Default Shocking Advice

I have KYBGR2s on my 71 Vert and I'm not quite satisfied with my ride quality. Tech at KYB provided the compression and rebound specs below. Can someone help me interpret what these mean in layman's terms? Any help appreciated.

.1m/s .3m/s .6m/s
55/20 140/45 235/70

The specs mean the following:

At a movement rate of 0.1 m/s (4"/second) you need a force of 55 in compression (pushing the shock together) and 20 in rebound (pulling apart). Don't know if the number is kilograms or lbs.

If the rate is in metric, then I would expect the forces to be in metric...thus 55 kg

Would these rates be considered soft, mild or stiff?

I've got the same shocks on mine and I'd consider the rates soft-to-mild. IMO, not as stiff as I'd like but much better than the stock shocks that I replaced.

Marshrat,
Do you have steel or composite springs? What rates front and back?

Just put on a set of Bilstein "Sports"----WOW like them alot--not overly stiff ride but noticeably firmer and better handling than the AC Delco's and stiffer than the KYB's I had. I thought long about the regular Bilsteins but talked with the VBP people and after talking with them awhile they convinced me to go with the Sports.

I had those on my 78 Pace with the 330 rear spring and the 550 front coils. Best combo and I ran GR2 in front with the regular KYB in back. Huge diff in handling and ride.
