You went from the Before to the After in less than a year?? Holy Carp!! 
I don't think I would have looked twice at that car! Mucho improvement! 
It doesn't even look like the same car.

What are some other good intakes besides the preformer rpm and vic jr. is the preformer rpm airgap any good. Just trying to find out my option since i am not really a motor guy

Hate to bring this thread back but did not want to start a new one. I have a question about the car it is still running hot above 210 at idle. I have a ir thermometer and at the water neck radiator uper and lower i am reading the same temp which is 150+ no more than 170. Ihave a 160 thermo installed but when i read the sending unit in the head it reads anywhere from 210 on up. The headers are also pegging out the themo it reads all they way to 575. Is this causing my temp gauge to read wrong. all of this is when the car is parked at idol after about 15 min. i need help please

Timing and air/fuel mixture have a direct bearing on how hot/cool your engine will run. So we will need answers to these questions:
What is your initial timing and what is the total timing and where does it occur?
Have you changed out the carb? If not, does the engine buck or surge at cruise rpm?
