What size is the torque converter I have this one in mind. Will it fit.http://store.summitracing.com/partde...part=BMM-20400
or the one from jegs. thanks

th400 in a 75 automatic the car is not stock refer to thread intitled carb advice for cam specs.

If I remember right you have a big o long duration cam so I would get a higher stall like 2600-3000 in order to allow your eng to rev up into the power band, if not you will have a dog off the line.

If I'm reading the Summit description correctly, the stall isn't that much above stock which is about 1500-1800 RPM. I'm running a B&M advertised at 2500RPM and don't see much difference with my engine.

stall speeds really should be advertised with more info.

like stalls at 3000 rpm with 300 ft lb at 2500. and stalls at 3300 with 350 ft lb at 2500

because with out the turque number that creates the stall you really have zero information about what a converter will do in your car unless you find a guy with a car just like yours and the same converter.
