What advantages are there to aluminum radiators beyond cooling ability? I know they are more efficient, but what about corrosion resistence, etc?
My original type radiator does a decent job cooling, it's just on its last legs. Also, is there really any reason to go to electric fans if I'm not concerned about the few horses you save by doing so?

I'm not sure about aluminum, but I bought a new 3 row radiator from radiatorworld.com last summer and it was a perfect fit and no problems. It cost $162.00 delivered to my house. I have an 81 coupe and it was the original radiator, so I'm hoping for another 20 something years. Good luck.

I won't talk radiators since I am very happy with my BeCool.
As for the fans, electric fans give more space at the front of the engine. I installed a spreader bar which stiffens the front end. Also, and much more important, I am now more comfortable tuning the motor with theengine running without worrying about losing some fingers to spinning metal blades.

Small rad shop where I live did the work, I didn't ask where he gets the cores, I assumed they were easy to come by. They turned it around in 2 days... The price included the core, heavy L-82 radiator...
