I've used Red Loctite (#271) on airplane engine mounts because it was required in the maintenance manual. It is very strong & it will make the bolts harder to remove. You will probably need to use a 1/2" drive ratchet to bring them out after you break them loose with a big breaker bar.
Also, because of the stress & heat generated to the bolts when being removed, it would be cheap insurance to never reuse hardware that's had 271 applied to it.
With that said, I used 271 on my flywheel & clutch bolts , but the blue 242 med strength would probably be fine.
