wiper speeds

The wiper switch in the console of my '72 coupe only gives me one wiper speed, altlhough the switch has a high/low speed detent. The switch was replaced a couple years ago without fixing the problem. I suspect the wiper motor is the problem. Anyone out there with knowledge about how to fix this problem?

Not sure,but there are resisters..check them first..got same issue on my 78....one speed....just doesn't rain here much,so not high on the list...

Your're right....I'm a bit further up the coast in San Luis Obispo, and it doesn't rain much here either, and when it does, Rainex pretty well does the job. I've got the entire interior pulled right now replacing carpet and the radio, and for just one time since I've owned the vett, I'd like everything to work like it did from the factory.....silly, I know, but just want to prove that it can be done...
