flexplate problem
I'm putting a newer 350 GM crate engine in my '77 b/c of a broken oil control ring in the #8 cyl. The problem is the holes for the torqe converter don't line up with the TC that's in the vette and the flexplate that came off the vette motor won't fit on the back of the new motor b/c the register on the crank that the flexplate bolts to is smaller on the newer crank. My question is will the TC out of the tranny (I believe it's a TH400) that was on the newer engine fit in the vette tranny or am I gonna have to find a flexplate with with a smaller inner bolt pattern that lines up with the TC in the vette.
