Default Another 6 speed question

I'm about to perform a 6 speed installation in my 76 vette. Two years ago I purchased a GM HO350 Crate motor and flywheel while I had it out I had a Center force II Clutch and pressure plate and throw out bearing installed. Someone did the installation for me and it has been the best money I've spent so far, but my original 4 speed is about to go. I purchased a used T56 6 speed from a 96 model Camaro and I've done all the research and know have hydraulic clutch worked out, but one question I have is will the clutch pressure plate and flywheel work with the T56? I appreciate any info!

Was the 96 Camaro the last year for the lt1 or the first year for the ls1? If it is the Ls1, the pressure plate and clutch should work fine. If it is the Lt1, you will need a pull clutch, and I don't know if they make one to fit the old style two piece rear main seal flywheel.

The LT1 was in the Camaro till 97.

And you're gonna have to get rid of that clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel sorry to tell ya. Look below for the other 6 Speed post for more info.

It is going to take more than that to change it over. You will need a special aftermarket flywhee to adapt the lt1 style pull clutch to the old 2 piece rear main seal block. You can't adapt the lt1 flywheel to yur block and you cant adapt the lt1 clutch to your existing flywheel.

Centerforce Flywheel 700107 bolts to the 2 piece rear main seal crank and is drilled for the LT1 pull type clutch. Check out the other post.
