Q-Jet Problem
I know that this problem has been descussed before, but because it didn't apply to me I didn't pay much attention, now it does! The cast aluminium treads in the carbs fuel inlet are completly stripped. Is there a fix for this problem or do I need to start shopping for a new carburator. Thanks!

If you have an early carb with 7/8-20 threads, I can do a correct and permanent repair with a stainless insert. Drop me an e-mail for info and cost:

Helicoil
You should be able to fix it with a Helicoil. Most good autoparts stores carry them along with the installation tool. Try a local NAPA store. If possible I would take the fitting with you to be sure you get the correct size.
