does anyone know if chrome shops do anything like chemical stripping or do they epect it to be reasonably clean when they get it. Its not getting chromed.

if the tanks are big enough, all i have seen clean,,, you degrease and pressure wash before you take it to them

I also own a Chevelle and it seems that on my one Chevelle forum a lot of people are having their frames galvanized when doing a frame up on the car. On a chevelle frame which is more substantial than a vette they're saying it's adding 75 lbs to it.

Call Custom Chrome in Grafton, Ohio, ask for Jon Wright, if he can't do the dipping, he may know a few sources.

I can't remember if it's Kustom or Custom...

There is a chrome shop and a restoration shop" Dream Car Factory" in my area i think i will contact them also.
