Default Headlights down please

I am restoring my 1972's interior....

Everything is removed (looks like a Beruit car bombing).

Anyway...my headlights are in the UP position.

How can I get them down till I'm finished with the interior?

Unplug what hose where? Is my question.....

HELP.........

Dave

Just reach up from underneath the headlights. You will see the linkage. It is a "knee" action. Just pull slightly on the knee action and the headlights will go down. If you want them up just push them up. They will go up and down quite easy this way.

This method is as easy as it sounds.

Default Great information...but.

I did that.....

Just stuck the ole hand in there and the headlights went down nicely.....

BUT.

They come back up when I start the car.

The reason why I want them down is I have the original '72 T-3 headlights and it would be just my luck to have some dumb-a$$ drop a rock a break those bulbs. boo hoo

More information please...which vacuum line keeps them down?

Will ty-raps work?Ha ha Thanks bubba!

Ok fellas....ideas!!!

The reason they came back up is that you have the vacumm disconnected. Just pull them back down again.

Push them back down. The vaccum line attaches to the intake towards the rear on the driverside. You'll see two vaccum hoses that goes into a round orfice and one small piece of hose going from the round orfice to the block. disconnect the vaccum line there and plug the hose so your engine doesn't have a vac leak.
