does anyone have any suggestions for removing a rusted trailing arm bolt (to frame). My old trailing arm was junk. I sawsalled the arm off so I just have a portion of the arm extending from the frame. The nut is off the bolt. I have tried penetrating oil for days now. Tried plenty of shock to bolt to drive it out. Have floor jack applying torque to a wrench on the head of the bolt at the same time.
Does the bolt thread to the frame? I don't believe so. I think this thing has been on there since 1977. I tried some heat but don't want to get to crazy with the torch in that area of the car. I gave myself til sring to rebuild this rear suspension. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm headed back to the garage, maybe I'll try my air chisel on the bushing.

Break out the sawzall again and cut the bolt. This is a common problem with the C3 cars. The bushing inner rusts to the bolt and makes it impossible to get out. Cut it on both sides and the bolt head and nut side will come out and remove the trailing arm.

EXACTLY!! Good luck getting the shims out too!!! I had to sawzall through the shims too. Use Stainless steel shims when you put it back together and grease the bolt and bushing sleeve well.
