I like the fact that I don't have to retype my password every single time I post. I also like the additional happy face dudes, but I have to scroll the scene up so I can concentrate on what I write, because I keep catching myself zoning, staring at the little dudes, and forgetting what I was going to say.

It takes a little time to get used to, but it has too many cool features:

-email notification list;
-the ability to turn off the pictures;
-no left sidebar.

It does suck when I'm using Netscape, but it runs great with Opera. I also think that the thread rating is irrelevant.

I like it. Change keeps a person from getting into a rut. It may create more interest from the people who haven't posted regularly in a while.

I like the new format. I'm sure that it will be tweaked a little along the way to make it even better.
I would like to find the tool that Ganey found. . . The one that makes this discussion title "New Forum" STICK to the top of the forum list for all to see as long as you like!?! :D

hehe. I was wondering who would notice that.

That's actually a feature available only to the admins of the site. We can make a thread stay at the top of the screen. IT's a great thing for announcements and such that everyone should see.

All Right... I found the tip on how to change fonts and went to "Extra Extra Large". Now I can read it. Thanks, Troy. That makes everything cool. :cheers:

Why is this post staying at the top of my screen when the latest reply is dated 1:49 PM 8/6/2001 when the latest replies under it are now at 4:10 PM?

Troy Roberts put it there.

From Troy's post above:

I don't like the fact that you can only reply to a specific message. I ususally like to review all the prior replies while entering mine. But with a specific reply, you only get the single post.

I like the "new" forum, haven't tried the search function, but the rest looks pretty cool. 2 things I miss a lot:
1) Spell Check
2) The fact that you can't see the whole thread when you're replying, only the original post, many times you're answering to more than one person and you need to see the whole thread as a reference.

Don't like the "reply" and "e-mail" functions (where is the e-mail function, BTW?); otherwise, an improvement. Oh, yeah- BRING BACK OUR 1969 Big Block roadster on the header!

The POSTS count keeps messing me up. It used to be REPLIES and not posts, so a thread showing "1" had 1 reply. Now "1" is for the original poster. Drivin me nuts!

I totally agree.

Whats with the stars? I keep seeing people with 200 or so posts that have three yellow stars? Did something get broken with that?
