You could get more for 76 L48 with a T56 and LT4 engine... than a bone stock L48 with a th400. Both clean both with working accessories.

Unfortuately a 305 vette will only carry as much value as a guy off the street is willing to pay for the lowest output v8 produced... which Kalway just paid.

I have had several 305's - got one now in my 95 truck

great - reliable - not powerful - beats a v-6 though.

Had a 305 in another truck I had at one time - did some mods (headers, cam ect) - it came alive - I was impressed with the changes that I got for the $$ spent.

That said - your buddy is gonna build it and install - are you buying parts or is he doing that too? I think that is what I read earlier.

If so - buy an engine stand - put the 305 on it (only cause it is the orig motor) and drop that 350 into that baby and go burn the tires off that thing.
