The big block has been a pain to keep cool, especially around town in the summer. DeWitt's has a good electric fan solution for your big block, it features a dual 11" fan assembly that works great.

I am switching to electric fans in my 454 rebuild. The "bus fan" sound is too loud. Go electric!

Dewitts has a great setup. Alum rad with dual fans, it will keep most anything cool. Not cheap but it is an excellent system.
I am running a single 16 inch fan from Dewitts on the stock rad. It is working good so far. We will see on the new motor.
