hi, i have front transverse monospring kit (with QA1 shocks) in my '77, the car is well set down and stiff but i need abt half inch lower and i thought that i'd change the bolts fm 8 to 10'', i think it might work, i have no other means to lower the car anyway, am i right?
if you cut the spring how is it gonna be seated?
i mean if i cut half a coil the seating must be wrong on one side??
im just curious i have my front end in pieces and i want it a bit lower
Panic: I am thinking about the front transverse spring. How low do you want to go? Are the shocks adj? I want to have a street set up and a Silver State set up. I want to be able to lower the car, raise the spring rate and increase shock dampening to handle the increased speeds.
Are you happy w/set up. How much were shocks?

hi, i need to go only about half inch down, the car is already well set up, the front transverse kit change a lot of thing, first of all you'll get rid of a lot of unsprung BS :o weight, the driving get more precise...the QA1 were 110/120 usd each if i remember well...i found out that to lower the front with this kit should work like lowering the rear..using the bolts, in the front there are 8'' bolts and is adjustable until you use the whole length down (it's where i am now), i've bought 10'' bolts for the front, same as those i have rear and so i think i'll be able to go further down (and if i wanted further back up)...it should be easy
