OK, I've got a new blueprinted hi perf non comp controlled HEI and it came with an adjustable vac can. It's a plug 'n play so it's adjusted in the ballpark I'm assuming. I still have a bog and would like to have it come in sooner. Which way do I turn it and how much. The car is very light, like 1200 lbs and has a sbc. Thanks....

Throw away the adjustable unit and get a NAPA Echlin part number VC1862 if you want it to come in quick (8 degrees all in by 6 to 8 inches vacuum). Use VC1838 for a slightly slower curve (7 degrees all in by 10 to 12).
Why are you using vacuum advance on a dragster engine? That's the only car I can think of that would run a Small Block Chevrolet and weigh 1200 pounds.

You guys are killin' me here...Yes I have a vette. No...this engine isn't in it, it's in my 23 T-Bucket roadster kit car. It does say F**D on the rear end but I swear it's 'FIBERGLAS'!!!! You guys can smell 'em a mile away can't ya. (disclaimer) No actual F**D parts were used in the making of the T-Bucket, it even has a Chev 12 bolt posi. :o
