Default Body Work

I need some body work and some painting done, and I was wondering about how much it would cost to have it done right. The bumper is kind of ripped at the top in the center. The fiberglass is bent up between the headlights and there are cracks at the edges of the headlights. The headlights still work fine. There are a lot of chips in the hood and a few on the doors. The car was like this when I got it. Here are a couple of pictures showing what's wrong with it.

heh the guy before you ran into someone. But don't let that stop you. I'm the kind to buy new parts instead of repairing so in your case you'd need a new frontend...thats 2000$ I think....you shouldn't need to repaint the whole car so that should cost you 1500$ for a good paint job that will match your rearend. Maybe I'm wrong, wait and see the replies of other people but thats what I'd expect.

The doors and the passenger side rear need a few spots re-painted.

I would fix what's there. I guess some people are new parts people, some are fix it people. It doesn't look that bad to me. I wouldn't think it would cost that much, but I have never dealt with a body shop either so I don't know for sure how much $$$ we're talking.

Really depends upon the shop and upon how good of a job you want done. A local shop quoted me $900 to replace the front bumper and another $5000 to strip and repaint the whole car. I may have them fix the bumper, but I'll be stripping my car myself unless I run into a lot of money that I can't find a better use (read that as crate engine) for.

Fix it yourself, you can do it!
