Default Where does this hose go

I have a 1979 with a L48 in it w/ the following equipment, auto, a/c, cruise control, and power brakes. The person that had the car before me decided to remove and plug up some of the hoses under the hood. The only one I can not figure where it goes is in a fitting on top of the intake. There are two hoses on this fitting. The lower hose to to the carb. The other hose is one leg of a "Y", with one side going over the engiine and down the fender on the drivers side to some kind of control under the windshield reservior. The other leg of the "Y" has a hose on it with a bolt in it to plug up the hose. Does any one know where this hose is to go. Thanks Gary B.

I presume you are talking about the TPI switch sitting atop the intake manifold. One of the hoses goes to the EFE valve (which the PO decided to disconnect and throw away - thanks very much) which sits in the connection between the exhaust manifold and Y pipe on the passenger side of the vehicle. At least that is what the vacuum diagram inside the hood says it is supposed to go (mine, of course, was plugged by the PO along with every other pollution control device.)

I also have a 79,L48 automatic. Mine has 15,000 miles on it and is
pretty much original. If no one else answers Your question before
morning I will give it a try. I went out to garage just now but its too
dark to see where everything goes.
