The '27 "T" used a standard poly fuel cell with foam filling. Started with an 8 gallon tank, but had to re-engineering thinkgs to stuff in a 16 gallon one so I could go farther than between gas stations (on on every block back then).
The '32 roadster used a custom aluminum tank, made to fit into the old rumble-seat footwell, as the poly tanks would have used up all the available "trunk" room.
The '65 Corvette will probably use a poly cell with foam filling, but I may go with a custom aluminum tank with foam filling to get more gas volume. I don't expect 16 galons (biggest poly tank I can fit with the narrowed rear) won't go very far.
i thought this post was gonna be about hydrogen :(
my school does millions of research into fuel cells every year. they do a lot with Ballard Power and Xcellsis. in fact, this is the line of work i am heading towards.
