One sure seened to be on mine, but the replacements from vette parts was not. I had to use a couple of washers to snug em up.

That looks nasty ... maybe try a torch on the casing and then pressing it out.

Wait until the day you decide to work on a C4. Something as "simple" as changing plug wires on a 92-96 LT1 will make this bolt extraction a walk in the park!!!

Hi Gary!!!

Now I see what you were talking about on the phone Gary! You could definetly nominate that bad boy for an award of some kind ... "2006 Seized Bolt of the Year!" ... Wow ... just like my steering box, it's a good thing I sent this job to you too. There just ain't many shops out there (none that I know) that would tackle those kinds of interuptions! Now days we only hear something like, "Your gonna need a new differential because that one is a gonner!" Your efforts and persistance are second to none Gary. You just salvaged my differential from the trash pile. And what a great example of why it is impossible to estimate the time/cost when you take on a C3 restoration project. Thanks Buddy! Now git-r-done and quit stallin !!!
