Hello everybody, I'm new to this forum... I'm from Italy and I own a '79 L-82 Vette.
All worked fine until two days ago... the problem is that when I pull the lights switch, the headligts regularly come out, but the low beam lights remain off. If I pull the high beam lever, all of the four lights regularly light up. I tried to push and pull the lights **** various times, but nothing happened... all the lights are working except the low beams!
I on the owner's manual I readed that the headlights wiring is protected by a circuit breaker in the lights switch, so I assume that there isn't any fuse in the fuses box that I should change to make my lights working again, isn't it?
Is the lights switch itself the problem? Should I check for something other?
Thanks for your help!!!
THis may seem obvious but I found on my 81 the light plug connector harness on the back of the bulb was pulled out by the actuating mechanism. THey worked fine then one day both were out! It is an easy check.
Hi dboncio99, thanks for your reply! What you said certainly has sense, but if the plug is disconnected, why the same bulb works when in "high beam" configuration?
