Default Differential cover

Wha t does everyone do to seal the cover, just the gasket or do you use rtv between the cover and the gasket. I got mine all buttoned up only to have it leak now igotta pull it apart again. Not happy. Thanks.

I used a small amount (very light film) of rtv on both sides of gasket...no leaks yet.
Others says small amount of chassis lube on both sides works nicely also.

When I installed my rebuilt rear and new cover I used gasket only, no sealer. Also, I anti-siezed my cover bolts. No leaks, no problems.

I used a small amount of non-hardening Permatex sealer. No leaks so far.
